Shimla - Kullu - Manali
Welcome on Himachal tour! On arrival at Chandigarh airport/ railway station, you will be welcomed by our executive and he will introduce you to the driver for the entire trip. Drive to Shimla. Check in at hotel. Rest of the time is free to enjoy walks on the Mall Road. Stay overnight at Shimla.
After Breakfast, enjoy the sightseeing tour of Shimla.
The hub of Shimla is the Mall, which runs along the Ridge and is crowded with tourists. It is the city’s most famous shopping center, with shops selling all items, from clothes to junk food. The Mall further joins the Ridge at the ‘Scandal Point' of Kipling's Shimla, where a statue of the nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai has been erected.
The six-storied Vice-Regal Lodge or Rashtrapati Niwas, about 4.5 km from town, attracts many visitors. Nearby is the Himalayan aviary that has a good collection of birds, including the Monal pheasant, Himachal’s state bird.
Visit Christ Church, the Ridge and Himachal State Museum.
Also, visit Jhaku temple, dedicated to Hanumanji, the attendant of Lord Rama, is to the east of the town center, near the highest point of the Shimla Ridge. It is at a height of 8048 feet above sea level and offers a panoramic view of the city.
Stay overnight at Shimla.
Drive to Manali. Enroute visit Kullu and continue driving to Manali. In Kullu, visit Beas river, Kullu Valley , Dussehra Maidan. Check in at hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the Mall road of Manali and nearby areas by walk. Stay overnight at Manali.
During the day, explore Manali.
HADIMBA TEMPLE: Manali has many attractions but the chief centre of interest, historically and archeologically, is undoubtedly the DHOONGRI TEMPLE dedicated to goddess Hadimba
MANU TEMPLE: 3 kms. from the main bazaar in old Manali lies the temple of MANU RISHI. It is believed that this is the only temple of Manu in India, who was the creator of human race on the earth.
TIBETAN MONASTERIES: There are 3 newly constructed colorful monasteries, where visitors can buy carpets and other Tibetan handicrafts. Two are located in the town and one at the left bank of Beas river.
VASHIST HOT WATER SPRINGS AND TEMPLE (3 Kms): Vashist, a small village located on the left bank of river Beas towards Rohtang pass is worth a visit. It is renowned for its hot springs and temples. Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashist Muni.
Return back to hotel in Manali and stay overnight in Manali.
Post Breakfast, today you will enjoy an excursion to Atal Tunnel, Solang Valley & Sissu Valley. If the roads are open, visit Rohtang Pass. Stay overnight at Manali.
Post Breakfast, drive to Chandigar and drop off at Chandigarh airport to board your flight back home. THE TOUR ENDS
