Rann Utsav - Rann of Kutch - Mandvi Beach - Vijay Vilas Palace - Kala Dungar - Smritivan

Rann Utsav is a spectacular cultural festival set against the surreal backdrop of the Great Rann of Kutch, where an endless expanse of white salt desert meets vibrant traditions and artistic expression. Celebrated from winter to early spring, this iconic festival transforms the quiet desert into a lively celebration of Gujarat’s rich heritage.
Day 01 : Bhuj - Rann Utsav

Welcome to Rann Utsav! On arrival at Bhuj airport/ railway station, pick up and drive to Tent city. Check in the camp and then enjoy delicious lunch. Leisure time/Indulge in an exciting range of activities at Skyzilla, Club House, Craft Market/Haat, Various Selfie Points, Rejuvenation Center, Art Gallery, Live Demonstration area of Kutch Craft and many others. Visit the Sunset Point and the breathtaking White Rann to witness the grandeur of the setting sun. Transfers will be arranged by bus, camel cart, or a combination of both for a truly memorable experience. Return back to Camp and enjoy the culture of Kutch along with entertaining activities at the Cultural Activity Area followed by sumptous Dinner. Stay overnight in Tent. 

Day 02 : Excursion to Mandvi Beach, Vijay Vilas Palace and Shyamji Krishna Varma Memorial

After Breakfast, today we will visit Mandvi Beach, Vijay Vilas Palace, 

Mandvi is a renowned beach destination known for its tranquil white sands, peaceful surroundings, and scenic views. Located approximately 140 km from Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo. Mandvi used to be a famous port and is now a popular tourist destination. It's the perfect place to enjoy the sea, sand, and sun, and you can even go for horse and camel rides along the beaches. Enjoy leisure time at the private beach

Next visit Vijay Vilas Palace - The great palace of Mandvi was built in 1929 by His Highness Vijay Singhji, the Maharao of Kutch, as a summer resort. This palace has a domed terrace that gives a panoramic view of the sea. It has interiors made like offices where the king used to work. The construction of the palace started in 1920 and was completed in 1929. The palace is built with red sandstone. It has all the elements of Rajput architecture and draws largely on the plan of palaces of Orchha and Datia.

 

Visit Shyamji Krishna Varma Memorial. Shyamji Krishna Varma was born on 4th October 1857 in Mandvi, a town in the Kutch district of Gujarat. He was one of the foremost freedom fighters in India’s struggle for independence. The Shyamji Krishna Varma Memorial in Mandvi is a replica of 65, Cromwell Avenue house, Highgate, that was originally recognised as India House in London. He was a staunch nationalist and a freedom fighter with anti-imperial views.

Return back to Camp and enjoy the culture of Kutch along with entertaining activities at the Cultural Activity Area followed by sumptous Dinner. Stay overnight in Tent.  

Day 03 : Rann Utsav (visit to Kala Dungar & Gandhi Nu Gaam)

Enjoy a Bed Tea and then visit Sunrise Point for half an hour to witness the beauty of the rising sun over the serene White Rann. As the first light touches the vast salt desert, it creates a magical and unforgettable morning experience. Return back to Camp for Breakfast. Leisure time/Indulge in an exciting range of activities at Skyzilla, Club House, Craft Market/Haat, Various Selfie Points, Rejuvenation Center, Art Gallery, Live Demonstration area of Kutch Craft and many others.

Later enjoy a tour to Kala Dungar (Black Hill), the highest point of Kutch. En route, visit the handicraft village “Gandhi Nu Gaam.”

Return back to Camp and enjoy the culture of Kutch along with entertaining activities at the Cultural Activity Area followed by sumptous Dinner. Stay overnight in Tent.  

Day 04 : Rann Utsav - Smritivan - Bhuj Departure

After Breakfast, check out from the camp and visit Smritivan Bhuj (Earthquake Museum ) For 2 Hrs. (Approx). The Smritivan Earthquake Museum, Bhuj is situated on the Bhujiyo Dungar. It was constructed in remembrance of the victims of the devastating 2001 Gujarat earthquake. The Sun-point at the memorial is situated on top of Bhujiyo Dungar, providing a panoramic view of the city as well as breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset.

Later transfer to Bhuj airport/ station for onward journey. THE TOUR ENDS
