Kathmandu - Pokhara - Bandipur - Chitwan National Park

Day 01 : Kathmandu - Arrival

Once you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted and welcomed with“Khada” by our representative who will assist and transfer you towards your hotel. After check-In, all necessary travel documents will be handed over to you along with a short briefing on your tour. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02 : Kathmandu (Sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Kathmandu Cit

After breakfast, visit Pashupatinath Temple, with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition. Pashupatinath is regarded as one of the most sacred temples of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world and its existence dates back to 400 A.D. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred linga or phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Thousands of pilgrims from all over the world come to pay homage to this temple that is also known as 'The Temple of Living Beings'.

Next, visit Boudhanath Stupa, the largest stupa in the Valley and one of the largest in the world. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design with hundreds of prayer wheels and 108 small images of Buddha all around. The stupa has four sides with the watchful eyes of Lord Buddha. All the Buddhists throng to this stupa to take part in the sacred rituals during the Buddhist festivals.

Following this, you will delve into the historical treasures of Kathmandu Durbar Square, including Hanuman Dhoka, Parvati and Mahadev temple, Kumari Palace, Taleju temple, and more. Kathmandu Durbar Square, situated in the heart of Kathmandu, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning architecture, palaces, temples, and courtyards. It was once the royal palace of the Malla and Shah kings of Nepal. The square is a bustling hub of activity, with locals and tourists alike wandering amidst the intricately carved wooden buildings, ancient temples, and statues. It's a vibrant showcase of Nepalese art, culture, and history.

Day 03 : Kathmandu (Sightseeing of Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square & Changu Narayan Temple)

After breakfast, Visit Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exquisite Newari architecture. This historic square is a treasure trove of temples, statues, and courtyards, each narrating tales of Nepal’s rich history and artistic heritage. Highlights of your visit include the Krishna Mandir, an iconic temple constructed entirely of stone, and the Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar), a beautiful 12th-century Buddhist monastery. Next, visit Patan Museum, housed in an ancient palace, showcasing traditional art and artifacts.

Later visit Bhaktapur, an ancient city renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture, temples, and courtyards. Wander through the narrow alleys of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, admiring the intricately carved wooden structures and traditionalNewari craftsmanship. It is an open museum holding exciting palaces, courtyards, royal baths, sculptures, pagodas, Shikhara style temples and Buddhist monastery along with exclusive architecture. In other words, this is the most beautiful Durbar you visit in your Nepal tours.

Continue your visit to Changu Narayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site perched atop a small hill to the east of Kathmandu in Bhaktapur district. It is one of the best known Vishnu - Narayan is another name of Vishnu - temples in Nepal and is visited by a large number of devotees.  At the front of the temple is a beautiful statue of Garuda dating back to the 5th century Lichchhavi period. This Garuda is unique in that it resembles a human being except that it has wings unlike other Garuda statues found elsewhere. The Garuda is the baahan (carrier) of Lord Vishnu, and it is interesting to note that all Vishnu temples have the celestial bird seated on its knee with folded palms in front of the temple.

Day 04 : Kathmandu - Pokhara (6 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, Begin your journey to Pokhara, a scenic city located at the base of the Annapurna massif. The drive takes around 6-7 hours depending upon road condition and passes through beautiful landscapes and small towns. Upon arrival in Pokhara, we'll check into our hotel and rest for the remainder of the day.

In the evening, head out to explore the vibrant Lakeside area, a lively stretch along the shores of Phewa Lake. Stroll through the colorful streets lined with shops, cafés, and restaurants, enjoy the peaceful lake views as the sun sets behind the mountains, and perhaps indulge in some local cuisine or live music at one of the many cozy eateries. The relaxed ambiance of Lakeside in the evening perfectly caps off a rewarding day of trekking and travel.

Day 05 : Pokhara

Early morning excursion to Sarangkot. Explore Bindabasini Temple, Devi’s Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave & World Peace Pagoda. Evening Boating at Fewa Lake

Early in the morning you will visit Sarangkot which provides a panoramic view of Pokhara. Tourists drive up the hill to see the sunrise from the top of the hill's view tower. Sarangkot provides a relaxing and admiring view of the breathtaking views of the mountains on one side and Phewa Lake on the other. 

Next, you will visit Bindhabasini temple which is one of the famous temples of Nepal. It is devoted to the Hindu goddess Bindhyabasini, a Bhagawati who is believed to be the guardian deity of the city of lakes. Besides that, the temple is a recognized sightseeing attraction in Pokhara. It is the oldest temple in Pokhara. Enthroned on top of a small hill, the Bindhyabasini temple rests quietly beside an old busy bazaar, 3002 feet above sea level gawking at the glorious Himalayan ranges. The temple is like a breath of fresh air amid the hullabaloo of Pokhara.

Next, you'll go back to the hotel for breakfast.

 After breakfast drive to Devi’s Fall is a ferocious waterfall located about 2 km southwest of Pokhara Airport on the Siddhartha Highway. The source of the waterfall is Phewa Lake and the fall itself is named after a Swiss lady who was swept away by the fall in 1961. The fall cuts through the rocks to create complex caves and tunnels on its path. GupteshwarMahadev cave on the other side of the fall is one such cave carved by Devi’s Fall.

Next, we’ll visit Gupteshwor Mahadev, a sacred cave located near Devi’s Fall. The cave is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has a natural rock formation that resembles the Shiva Lingam. The cave sits across Davi's fall, and inside the cave, one can hear the thundering sound of water. As per the local beliefs, the cave was said to be discovered in the 16th century. During those times, there weren't any sort of modern-day decorations that you see today.

 Also known as Shanti Stupa, World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda style monument located on a hilltop overlooking the Phewa Lake. This is the second shanti stupa in Nepal after the one in Lumbini. This stupa which is now a leading tourist attraction in Pokhara saw a topsy ride from its inception back in 1947. World Peace Pagoda offers amazing trekking options from the southeastern shore of Phewa Lake. Apart from the stunning view of the mountains and lake, one can also enjoy a splendid view of sunrise and sunset from this stupa.

Later in the afternoon, head to Phewa Lake for a tranquil boating experience, admiring the reflection of the mountains on the crystal-clear waters. Visit the Tal Barahi Temple situated on an island in the lake. Relish in the peaceful ambiance of Pokhara as you unwind from your journey, enjoying moments of serenity by the lakeside.

Day 06 : Pokhara - Bandipur (03 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and drive to Bandipur.  The journey covers approximately 77 kilometers and is expected to take around 2 to 3 hours’ drive depending upon the road condition.

After check-in to the hotel you will have leisure time to explore Bandipur, which is famous for old-world architecture imparts a distinct sense of preservation, reminiscent of an ancient heritage site.

The superb location and the quaint village atmosphere come together to fulfill your dreams with its charming beauty and picturesque alleys, creating an enchanting experience throughout your Bandipur visit.

Day 07 : Bandipur - Chitwan National Park (03 Hours Drive)

After breakfast drive to Chitwan. The drive takes approximately 03 hours and follows scenic highways through river valleys and subtropical countryside. Upon arrival in Chitwan, you will check into your hotel and have a delicious lunch & some time to rest and freshen up.

In the afternoon, you will begin your jungle activities. You have the opportunity to visit a local village and learn about the traditional lifestyle of the Tharu people. In the evening, you will attend a cultural performance featuring traditional Tharu music and dance.

Tharu Cultural Dance

You will be able to enjoy the local Tharus from the village showcasing their traditional Tharu stick dance. The dance is an age-old tradition of the Tharus and is usually performed to appease the gods during religious festivals.

Day 08 : Chitwan National Park

After breakfast, you will continue your jungle adventure with a full day of activities. You will go on a canoe ride down the Rapti River, where you can observe various species of birds, crocodiles, and otherwildlife. You will also have the opportunity to go on a jeep safari to explore the jungle and see animals such as one-horned rhinoceroses, Bengal tigers, and sloth bears.

 Canoe Safari: A canoe ride is an excellent way to enjoy the unique ecosystem around the rivers and floodplains. Mugger crocodiles and Gharials basking on banks, storks, ducks, kingfishers along with otters, turtles and if lucky, even a fishing cat, are some of the creatures to watch out for. The comfortable wooden oar boats glide noiselessly, maneuvered by expert oarsmen while naturalists explain the world around the water. The boats are equipped with life jackets and the boatmen are expert swimmers who also act as lifeguards. 

Bird Watching: Chitwan is rightly considered a bird watcher's paradise. Exotic birds such as the highly endangered Bengal florican and the glorious paradise flycatcher, as well as a range of colorful sunbirds, kingfishers and jungle fowl, call this forest their home. 

Jeep Safari/Safari Drives: Safari drives are conducted by expert naturalists in specially designed 4X4 vehicles with theatre style seating. Along with the thrill of tiger tracking, is a memorable stop for a picnic breakfast. The dense jungles of Chitwan have large stretches of Sal with a closed canopy. A safari drive through these patches, with trees towering above and reams of sunlight breaking through the thick canopy is an enchanting experience. Seated in a specially designed safari vehicle, guests drive around the jungle, accompanied by a trained naturalist and an experienced tracker from the local community. The one horned Rhinoceros is the star of Chitwan and are usually spotted in open woods and grasslands. Along with mammals, the forest has 56 species of reptiles and amphibians, the most commonly spotted ones being the monitor lizards and pythons.

In the evening, you will enjoy specialty dinner and enjoy at your hotel for the night.

Day 09 : Chitwan - Kathmandu (04 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, depart Chitwan and begin a scenic drive to Kathmandu. The journey offers beautiful views of terraced hillsides, rivers, and rural villages along the way. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is free at leisure to relax, explore the surroundings on your own, or unwind after the drive.

In the evening, Self-explore Thamel a bustling neighborhood known for its eclectic blend of shops, restaurants, and cultural charm, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local atmosphere. Capture the vibrant nightlife, colorful streets, and eclectic mix of tourists and locals.

Day 10 : Kathmandu - Departure

After breakfast, our representative from Kathmandu will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight. We hope you had a wonderful time in Nepal and look forward to seeing you again. THE TOUR ENDS
